Finding Inexpensive Wedding Invitations Creating Your Own Wedding Invitations Wedding Invitations On A Budget
Planning your wedding day will probably be the biggest event you will ever plan. So it's only normal to want to have the best wedding invitation. After all, it will set the tone for what type of event this is really going to be. Many of your close friends and family will keep this momentous piece for years to come. But how does one create the perfect wedding invitation without spending hundreds or thousands of dollars? Below are a few tips to help you with the financial stress that comes with planning your wedding.
Creating your own wedding invitations doesn't have to cost a lot of money and can be done relatively inexpensive. It will however take some time on your part. There are plenty of companies online that sell high quality paper. You will need paper, a paper cutter, a glue stick or adhesive double sided tape, envelopes, and of course, a quality printer.
First, you will need to decide on the colors you are choosing for your big day. If you have chosen, like the beach for instance, you can incorporate that with your wedding invitations also. Once you have chosen colors, theme, etc. you can then purchase what you need to create your invitations. If you want to go a bit more formal, a beautiful idea is to purchase thin cardboard, already cut down to a 5x7 piece. Visit a local store that sells fabric and purchase satin fabric. You will then want to wrap your fabric around the cardboard in fabric securing it with fabric glue. Then, glue a piece of 4.75 x 6.75 cardstock on top of that, leaving a 1/4 inch border. Then, layer that with your printed invitation - a 4.50 x 6.50 piece of cardstock and use satin ribbon to finish it off. The result: A gorgeous invitation for a fraction of the price. There are also a wide variety of rhinestones you can add to embellish your invitation.
Something to keep in mind isnot toorder your envelopes until you have made a finaldecision on your invitation. People make the mistake of getting the envelopes first and then realizing they need to make their invitation a different size. It is also very simple to add liners in your invitations. Again, it takes time and work on your part so if you don't have the time, you may want to skip the liner.
Planning a wedding can be stressful and create a financial hardship. But do your research, ask friends and family to help, and you can create the wedding of your dreams for a fraction of the price it would be normally. The possibilities are endless.
